CharacteristicsDIN 20MnCr5 / 20MnCrS5 grade is a low-alloy steel containing
chromium as strengthening agent. The steel has good strength and
toughness in low temperature, hardenability and machinability, less
deformation after heat treatment, but poor weldability
ApplicationsThis low-alloy steel can be case hardened, or quenched and
tempered, for carburized parts as well as quenched and tempered
parts with large section under heavy bent load and speed, such as
gear, connecting rod, shaft, worm, sleeve, friction wheel, gear
pump without heavy impact, water pump rotor, clutch, bolt for high
pressure vessel, etc.
